    Legal workflows it fits

    Legal workflows Maestro fits.

    1. 01

      NDA intake to signature

A web form request generates the NDA from a template, routes it for signature, and files it in Navigator.

    2. 02

      Contract requests to legal

Business requests arrive through one intake instead of email, and legal sees status in one place.

    3. 03

      Third-party onboarding

Supplier or customer agreements with identity verification and the data captured once.

    4. 04

      After the signature

The signed agreement and its data handed to Salesforce, the ERP or the repository automatically.

    Frequently asked questions

    What is Docusign Maestro?

Docusign Maestro is the no-code workflow builder in Docusign IAM. It connects the steps before and after a signature: intake through Agreement Desk, Web Forms, identity verification, document generation from templates, eSignature, and connections to systems such as Salesforce, Microsoft, Google and ServiceNow. Docusign includes it in all IAM plans.

Is Docusign Maestro the same as Workflow Builder?

Yes. Docusign now lists Maestro as Workflow Builder, and its community refers to Workflow Builder (formerly Maestro). Both names refer to the same no-code workflow builder in Docusign IAM.

What legal workflows can Docusign Maestro automate?

Structured, repeatable ones: NDA intake through signature and filing, contract requests routed to legal through one intake, supplier or customer onboarding with identity verification, and handing signed agreements and their data to Salesforce, the ERP or the repository.

How many workflows does each Docusign IAM plan include?

Per Docusign's IAM plans page in October 2026: Starter includes 1 workflow, Standard 3, and Professional and Enterprise 10 each. Check Docusign's plans page for the current allowance.

Can Docusign Maestro replace a CLM?

For structured, repeatable agreements with little negotiation, such as NDAs, onboarding and renewals, Maestro can be enough. For negotiated contracts with redlining, a clause library and approvals at volume, you need a CLM, or IAM Enterprise, which adds redlining and approvals. If you already run a CLM, Maestro can still handle the simple flows around it.
