Docusign IAM Pricing

Docusign IAM pricing and plans explained for legal teams

Docusign sells IAM in four tiers: Starter, Standard, Professional and Enterprise, with Enterprise quoted by sales. What a legal department pays depends less on the tier name than on users, workflows, the features legal actually needs, and what you already pay for eSignature. Swiftwater is a Docusign partner, and this page explains which tier fits and what to ask before you renew.

    Cost drivers

What drives the cost of Docusign IAM.

The published price is a per-user starting point. These seven drivers decide what a legal department actually pays.

    From eSignature to IAM

What moves an account from eSignature to IAM.

    1. 01

Your renewal is quoted as IAM

Docusign moves existing eSignature customers to IAM through its sales team; some restrictions apply by region.

    2. 02

      Envelope caps are the constraint

Standard and above send unlimited envelopes from the web app; automation sends are still counted.

    3. 03

You need executed agreements in one place

Agreement Manager stores and analyzes executed agreements, which eSignature plans do not.

    Consolidation

    Consolidate before you renew.

Before an IAM renewal, inventory what the business already pays for: separate eSignature accounts by team, unused seats, and overlapping plans. Consolidating them first often changes the seat count the quote is built on.

    2. 02

      Renewal review

We read your IAM quote against users, workflows and add-ons before you sign.

    3. 03

      Consolidation

An inventory of accounts, seats and plans, so the quote starts from the right number.

    Frequently asked questions

How much does Docusign IAM cost?

Docusign publishes per-user prices for three IAM tiers. On its US plans page in October 2026, Starter was listed at $45 per user per month, Standard at $50 and Professional at $80, the last two with a 3-user minimum; Enterprise is quoted by sales. What a legal department pays also depends on users, workflows, automation sends, add-ons and the eSignature contract it already has. Prices vary by region and change, so check Docusign's IAM plans page for current figures.

What is the difference between the Docusign IAM plans?

Starter covers 1 to 50 users with 100 envelopes per user per year and 1 workflow. Standard adds unlimited envelopes from the web app and 3 workflows. Professional adds 10 workflows, Web Forms, PowerForms, Bulk Send, single sign-on and multi-channel delivery. Enterprise adds Agreement Desk, redlining and approvals, AI-Assisted Review, signing groups, document visibility and 24/7 support. All tiers include Agreement Manager and App Center integrations.

How is Docusign Enterprise pricing set?

Docusign quotes Enterprise through its sales team. The quote is driven by the number of users, the features you need, workflows, automation sends, add-ons such as SMS delivery and ID verification, and the terms of your existing eSignature contract. Ask for it itemized so you can see which drivers move the number.

Can we move from Docusign eSignature to IAM at renewal?

Yes. Docusign moves existing eSignature customers to IAM through its sales team, and some restrictions apply by region. Consolidate accounts and seats first, so the IAM quote is built on what you actually use.

Does Docusign IAM include unlimited envelopes?

From Standard up, envelopes sent from the Docusign web and mobile apps are unlimited. Starter includes 100 envelopes per user per year. Automation sends through Web Forms, PowerForms, Bulk Send and API integrations are counted separately, so check how they are counted in your plan.
